Well I am the closest to getting a job since this whole things started. Had a second interview last week and I felt it went pretty well. I won't find out for sure for a couple weeks, apparently they need to talk to other candidates :-) . So my fingers are crossed. I am hoping to re-look at python and .NET languages a bit more to prepare for any follow up or even if I am accepted. The job seems to be up my ally, as it is kind of what it was liked before the last company purchased the company I was in. It is finding pain points in applications and looking for or building alternatives, using internal code. Which I am kind of excited for. Here is to hoping.
Another positive note, I got my PHP Certification. Not sure that is going to help much, but I got it. I think I could have done better on it, but I guess I did well enough.
Surprisingly WhereAreGames is actually up a bit for use, it looks to gotten between 17-18 unique users, which is not bad. Considering that the new addition of Warhammer, has a somewhat improved app, which is lacking in areas. I ended up using the app in split screen so that I could see my list better. Though NewRecuit's game mode is getting pretty impressive. Even implemented a few features I wanted to add. I might just upgrade the code for WhereAreGames and start working on updating the code a some more.
Dynaballot has pretty much flatlined. No new users and not log ins. I think I need to reimagine that site, and I think I am going to write it in another language too, just to get some practice. I will see what I can figure out. I just know that it need a total makeover.
SEO stats seem sparse. WhereAreGames seems to get impressions once and a while. Dynaballot is completely flat. I really need to back to working on these applications.
For the month, hopefully I get the job. I will be looking at trying out some other languages. I will see what comes.
