Another month without a job. Given my experience and my knowledge you would think I would have plenty of offers. Nada, zip, zero, nothing. Sure I have had a couple interviews, but no real offers. I don't know if it is my age or how I am interviewing. I know my experience is more than many of these guys have been alive, but I am looking to learn new things and to have an income. I don't care if I could be these guy's father. I want to build things that help people with the work they do. If it means getting data or building an application, I am open to the opportunity. I am only half way through my useful life, let me go out with some dignity.
Any ways sorry for the rant, it is frustrating. Especially when I need to go on unemployment. I applied to about 4 or 5 jobs today, a couple I fully expect by tomorrow that they will be rejections without even an interview. I guess I will keep plugging away and hope something changes.
Due to the lack of a job, I really haven't been that ambitious to work on anything. So far the changes I have made to WhereAreGames has held up. Though I will have to look at a rewrite. I am kind of waiting until I have a job to know what to rewrite it with.
Stats wise WhereAreGames looks to be holding steady. Had between 16 and 28 unique users. Part of that is due to the changes not getting past caching I am sure. The SEO looks still pretty spiky so that is a plus. Didn't bother to look at Dynaballot, as that really hasn't changed at all.
I will keep trying to find a job and maybe find time to rebuild my apps in Python or C# or something.
